Tinder

tinder-app

Tinder is marketed as an “interesting way to discover new and interesting people nearby” which is code for hooking up (which may be a code for having sex). Once logged in to Tinder, a user can view other Tinder users in their area and “flag” people they are interested in meeting. If those people “flag” them in return, Tinder allows them to connect. Tinder, according to the App Store is for people 17 and over yet Tinder’s Terms of Use states: “You must be at least 13 years of age to access and use the Service.” However, Tinder recently announced plans to launch a section for children ages 13-17. Tinder claims to have found a “safe” way for teens to hookup without inviting in predators. We cannot review this claim and recommend that Tinder is NOT safe for children.
